Level One, adjacent to the Awards Walk
Oscar Week has arrived, which means that movie-obsessed fans near and far will be decorating for parties, donning clothes in support of their cinematic favorites, and basking in all of the exciting elements of the movie universe’s biggest moment.
But much nearer than “near and far,” in terms of places that are close to the Dolby Theatre? Which is, of course, where all of the I’d-like-to-thank-the-Academy action will take place on Sunday, Feb. 24?
There’s a pop-up shop, devoted to Oscar-related merchandise.
It’s in Hollywood and Highland, just steps away from the Level 1 Awards Walk, the very walk that leads up, up, up to the Dolby Theatre.
Hats, bags, and wearables like sweatshirts are all for sale, making for ideal “Oscars viewing party prizes!,” says the shop.
Of course, the forecasted high on Feb. 24 is only 62 degrees, so you yourself may want to cozy-up in an Oscars sweatshirt, ahead of your show-watching shindig. Or keep one nearby, to wear with your fancy sleeveless gown, if that’s the party look you’re going for.
Which makes one wonder if the pop-up will be open during the Academy Awards broadcast itself? So stars walking up the red carpet can stop in and pick up a sweatshirt, if they think they might get chilly during the show?
One has to guess not, so best stock up on your Oscar style, ahead of Feb. 24, at the adjacent-to-the-awards-venue pop-up shop.
Keep in mind that you’ll want to plan some extra time to reach the pop-up, as the stands are now lining Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue, and the area is in full Oscar-prep mode.
